Unfolding like a transmission from the cosmos, discordant guitars clash against ethereal droning synth and authentic samples taken from the Apollo 11 MOCR ACR Collection to craft an immersive atmosphere simultaneously unnerving and transcendent. Combining raw and dissonant black metal with cold distant ambience, "Destroying Angels" builds layers of tension and abrasive unease before giving way to sparse chilling ambience amidst the faint crackling voices of mission control.
Evoking an otherworldly isolation and malaise, "Destroying Angels" is ambient black metal that sounds appropriately cold and distant, like a beacon in an endless night.
