The Wage Of Sin was an all-female metalcore band formed in Brooklyn in 2000 by guitarist Rachel (Most Precious Blood, Indecision) vocalist Melissa and drummer Vanessa. Citing At The Gates, Sick Of It All, Hatebreed, and L7 as some of their influences, The Wage Of Sin’s sound combined elements of hardcore, metal and punk. The Wage Of Sin self-released a four-song demo in 2001 and went on to release two albums on Immigrant Sun Records, The Product of Deceit and Loneliness (2002), and A Mistaken Belief in Forever (2003). The Product of Deceit and Loneliness was later released in Europe on Burial Records, in Thailand on Elephant Eye Records, and in Lithuania on Kablio Muzika.
From 2000-2005 The Wage Of Sin toured across the United States and Europe performing at legendary venues including CBGBs, ABC No Rio, Che Cafe, The Underworld, and festivals such as Hellfest, Macrock, Magic Fest, Monster Fest, and Ladyfest.
Now, 25 years since their formation, The Wage of Sin’s music will be released for the first time ever on vinyl. The Product of Forever combines The Product of Deceit and Loneliness and A Mistaken Belief in Forever, remastered by Bumblefoot and co-released by Immigrant Sun Records & Sands of Time Recordings.
