Locusts and Honey - Teach me to live that I dread the grave as little as my bed
“Teach me to live that I dread the grave as little as my bed” comprises a single, sprawling 28-minute odyssey, split into 6 movements. A meditation on death and living well, inspired by the bog bodies of Ireland and Denmark – people of the Iron Age who were sacrificially hanged and found extremely well-preserved in peat.
Rooted in the fertile soil of early '90s doom (Corrupted, Winter, Esoteric), infused with the raw essence of black metal (Strid, Darkthrone), and bathed in the ethereal embrace of cinematic soundscapes (Coil, William Basinski), Locusts and Honey conjure a sonic maelstrom that traverses the realms of darkness and despair.
Die in the Light - Evolutionary Ideation
Following in the footsteps of bands like Neurosis and Wolves in the Throne Room, Die in the Light have pushed the boundaries of their blackened hardcore into the expansive arena of sound manipulation.
Evolutionary Ideation is a sonic experience that hints at narrative - an aesthetic voice that says nothing determinate and yet gives nods to the storytelling giants that have been capable of saying volumes with simplicity.
Omen Astra - The End of Everything LP
Omen Astra draws from the atmosphere of Post-Metal and the crushing weight of Sludge, pushing far past the boundaries of those subgenres to create something dark and expansive. Like a modern mandala, Omen Astra will bring you into a trance-like state, awash in the universality of heaviness.
